Medical Assistant Training

• 160 hours of classroom instruction & hands-on training
• Guaranteed 160-hour externship
• CPR certification

• Administrative duties such as recording patient visits, charting a patient's history, and scheduling appointments.
• Clinical duties such as taking vitals, phlebotomy, administering medications including injections, and performing an EKG.
• Assisting physicians with patient care, including preparing patients and rooms for examinations.
• Proper management of the front and back office.
• Dosage calculations and medical math..

Externship

• The  Clinical Medical Assistant Program includes placement into an externship  at the end of the course. While a clinical externship is not required  to obtain certification, the experience helps our students get their  foot in the door faster because they are job-ready.

Certification

• Tuition includes the MAC (Medical Assistant Certification) exam through the AMCA.  Students will be prepared to take the national certification exam on  the last day of class. Texas does not require licensure at the state  level. Once students successfully pass our program and complete the  national exam, students are ready to begin their externship and will  receive a certificate of completion for our program.
